Perla stictica Blanchard, 1851 View in CoL — Blanchard 1851: 100. (original description of the adult); Claassen 1940: 146. (catalog); Illies 1964b: 209. (nomen nudum); Illies 1966: 508. (nomen dubium); Froehlich 2010: 187. (catalog, nomen dubium); DeWalt et al. 2016 (catalog, nomen dubium).

Forca sitctica (sic!) ( Blanchard, 1851)— Hallan 2006 (catalog, nomen dubium).

Material examined. LECTOTYPE ♀, present designation: CHILE ( NMPC, transferred to alcohol vial) (Labels, kept in box IV.17: Museum Paris / Chili / Gay 15-43 (printed); 15 / 43 (handwritten round label); Type (red, printed)).

Remarks. In the original box, there were three specimens pinned together as types of P. stictica . The three species lack a locality label, “Valdivia” as indicated in the original description. The specimen bearing an identification label with Blanchard's handwriting was detached from the plastic sheet, the second specimen is a Gripopterygidae fragment as indicated above, the third specimen is a female in relatively good condition and designated as the lectotype. Females of two recently described Neonemura Navás, 1919 species remained unknown ( Vera 2008, Stark & Morse 2013), thus, the specific identity of N. stictica is doubtful and should be treated as a nomen dubium. Regarding to the known females of valid Neonemura species, the lectotype resembling N. barrosi Navás, 1919 ( Figs. 21–23 View FIGURES 21 – 24 ).
