Etymology. Species dedicated to Heiko Poehlemanl, owner of Kolibri Farm where the specimens were obtained.

Material examined. Brazil, SP, São José dos Campos, São Francisco Xavier district, Fazenda Kolibri, ca. 1,300 m alt., 10-23.III.2006, M. P. Bolfarini, leg.: Male holotype, 7 male paratypes, 58 female paratypes.

Repositories. A. heikoi , n. sp.: Male holotype, 3 male paratypes, 4 female paratypes [ MZSP]; 4 male paratypes, 54 female paratypes [ UBTU].

Description. Overall aspect marbled dark brown on yellowish background, covered with micro pilosity and bristles. Male: Dorsum of head yellowish with darker longitudinal bands; interocular region dark brown; eyes black ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 E); antennal scape little pigmented, flagellum brownish with isolated white annuli throughout its length; front dark brown with lighter mark shaped as an inverted Y; gena medium brown with a darker maculae above; clypeus medium brown, its middle portion unpigmented; labrum light yellow on mid-portion and medium smoky brown on sides; maxillary palpi white with light-brown spots, 3rd and 4th joints small ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 D), 5th joint light brown on lateral and ventral faces, dorsal face with white band along midline except in portion immediately preceding apical truncation. Disk of pronotum marbled dark brown; fore wings medium brown with edges and region along dividing vein whitish; femur and tibia I and II banded with brown on yellow background; external face of femur III yellowish, especially in anterior region, adorned with oblique light-brown bands and brown maculae, genicular area reddish brown with sparse pilosity; hind tibia inconspicuously banded brown on yellow background. Supraanal plate medium brown with lighter spots ( Figures 1 View FIGURE 1 I, and 2K-M); abdominal tergites ochre; subgenital plate medium brown (fig. 1J, 2J); cerci yellow with irregular spots. Phallic complex: as in Figure 3 View FIGURE 3 A-D. Female: Similar to male but spot pattern slightly more contrasting.
