Adenopygus friederickeae Bolfarini & de Mello, sp. n.

Etymology. Species dedicated to Friederick Mundt, owner of Kolibri Farm, where the specimens were found.

Material examined. Brazil, SP, São José dos Campos, São Francisco Xavier district, Fazenda Kolibri, ca. 1,300 m alt., 10–23. III. 2006, M. P. Bolfarini, leg.: Male holotype, 2 female paratypes.

Repositories. A. friederickeae , n. sp.: Male holotype, 2 female paratypes [ MZSP].

Description. Similar to A. heikoi , with the following differences: body coloring darker in general, not clearly marbled. Male: Head dark brown with irregular lines, and yellowish on dorsum, which is also provided with a pair of sub-circular dark-brown maculae bordered by yellow rectangle close to margin of occiput ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 A), eyes black ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 E, 6C), front and genas and bases of mandibles dark brown; clypeus dark brown with lower portion lighter; labrum milky in color. Disk of pronotum dark brown with an indistinct, orange median longitudinal line; lateral lobes almost black; wing similar to that of A. heikoi , but with much narrower white band along external margins; femur III with oblique bands of dim brown pigmentation, external face with slightly more pubescence. Dorsum of abdomen medium brown with speckled white sagittal line ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 A); supra-anal plate light brown ( Figs. 6 View FIGURE 6 J-M); cerci yellowish to light brown (proximal portion darker on ventral face); abdominal sternites yellow to orange; subgenital plate dark brown with region of dorso-proximal angles yellowish ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 I). Phallic complex as in Figure 7 View FIGURE 7 A–D. Female: Differs from male by the following characteristics: pair of brown maculae rimmed with yellow, near occiput margin, almost completely fused; supra-anal plate transversely divided, proximal half light brown under a yellow background and distal half with two dark-brown maculae on lateral region, separated by subtriangular yellowish area; abdominal sternites light yellow; subgenital plate translucent.
