Examined specimens. MALAYSIA. Pahang. Cameron's Highlands, No 4, camp.; 04°25'33”N, 101°23'09”E; 6-1923; alt. 1460 m; 1 (USNM) ( Jendek & Nakládal 2019 as albopunctatus Deyrolle, 1864 ). Sarawak. Kuching; 01°34'N, 110°18'E; 1 ♂ (EJCB).
Distribution. MALAYSIA: Pahang, Sarawak; SINGAPORE.
Remarks. The lectotypes of A. trito (♂) and A. albopunctatus (♀) beside sexual differences (more robust body in female), differ only in the extent of tomentose elytral spots. While A. albopunctatus has distinct apical pair and vaguely also medial one, A. trito has spotless elytra. The poor state of the type of A. trito suggests that tomentose spots are likely smeared secondarily which is common in improperly killed or kept specimens. Both taxa were described in the same publication but the name priority was given to the name trito due to the male type and page precedence.
