Examined material: 1 ♂, Iran, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Suq cave, 812 m, 30°49ˊ25.9´´ N, 50° 25ˊ37.9´´ E, 16.vi.2018, S. Rahideh & J. Muilwijk leg., CJM GoogleMaps ; 2 ♂♂, 2 females, same place but: 5.vi.2019, S. Rahideh, Y. Fatemi & J. Muilwijk leg., HMIM, CJM .
Remarks: The difference between Porotachys and Tachyura is based on the presence of labial pores in Porotachys while these pores are absent in Tachyura and in Porotachys the 8th stria is only present at the apex, while in Tachyura the 8 th stria is present at the base and apex.
Distribution. Iran, South-East Europe, Turkey and eastern Mediterranean region, the new locality is the most southeastern finding of the species.
Habitat. The same cave where Trechus kouroshi sp. n. was found.
Remark. Porotachys bisulcatus (Nicolai, 1822) , a sister species of P. ottomanus , was also regularly collected in caves ( Bellés 1992).
