Type locality indication: “ Kansu: trajectu inter pagos Mör-ping et Wu-ping, 5 Julii fl. fr. nond. mat.; cacumine montis Tshagola supra terminum sylvarum, 11 Julii frf. fl. ult.; Sze-tschuan: custodio Dshindshitan, 25 Julii frf. fl. ult.; valle fl. Kserutso, 6 Aug. frf.; trajectu Gumà-kikà, 6 Aug. fl. fr. immat.; trajectu inter fl. Atu-Lunwà et Honton-Lunwà, 10 Aug. frf.; alpe Sü-ye-shan nive aeterna tecta, 11 Aug. ’85 frf.”.

Lectotype (designated here):— CHINA. [Sichuan] Szetschuan septentrionali. Custodio Dshindshitan. 25 July 1885, [defl., fr.], G. N. Potanin s.n. ( LE!). Other syntypes in K!, LE!, P!

The lectotype, consisting of six plants at the right part of the sheet, is mounted together with a syntype from the pass between Mör-ping et Wu-ping (seven plants in the left half of the sheet).
