Chrysopa walkeri hat ein unverwechselbares schwarzes Muster auf dem Kopf ( Abb. 1 View Abb. 1 b). Die in Mitteleuropa in den gleichen Habitaten lebende, aber viel häufigere Art Chrysopa perla (Linnaeus, 1758) weist einen geschlossenen weissen Stirnfleck auf ( Abb. 1 View Abb. 1 a).
