Glyptothorax garhwali Tilak 1969 ZBK : 37, figs. 1-4. Type locality: Alaknanda River, near Srinagar [Ganges drainage], dist. Pauri Garhwal , Uttar Pradesh, India. Holotype: ZSI F6152/2 . Paratypes: ZSI F6153/2 (1).

Distribution: Ganges drainage, India (Tilak, 1969; Talwar & Jhingran, 1991).
