Frequent. Late Apr–Jul; Sep–Oct. If one chooses to recognize varieties, the material collected by the author would generally be referable to var. Lyonia ligustrina foliosiflora , the more common variety on the North Carolina Coastal Plain. Thornhill 417, 591, 911, 1526 (NCSC).
