Mecynogea lemniscata ( Walckenaer, 1841)

Distribution. This species has the widest distribution in the genus, with records from southeastern USA to northern Argentina, although with a disjunction created by the absence of records in the Amazonia. We report this species for the first time in Bolivia, and add new records from the Brazilian states of Distrito Federal, Minas Gerais, Paraná, Pernambuco, Piauí and São Paulo ( Fig. 19 ).
