Goja vavilovi View in CoL n. sp.
( Figs 46–56 View FIGURES 46‒51 View FIGURES 52‒56 )
Diagnosis. Head pattern similar to that of G. tenerife n. sp., differing from it in the wing venation, in the median posterior process of the hypandrium, in the posterior processes of the aedeagal arch and in the endophallic sclerites (compare Figs 34-35 View FIGURES 34‒39 with Figs 46-47 View FIGURES 46‒51 , Figs 38 View FIGURES 34‒39 with 50, and Figs 39 View FIGURES 34‒39 with 51 in this paper). Unlike G. meremberg n.
sp., G. tenerife n. sp., and G. garridoi n. sp., it presents the mesal endopallic sclerites distally widened, the right one somewhat similar to that of G. mereberg n. sp., but without an elongated apical process.
Male. Color (in 80% ethanol). Body pale brown. Head pattern ( Fig. 48 View FIGURES 46‒51 ), with a wide black transverse band betwen the compound eyes, enclosing the ocellar triangle; front, postclypeus, genae and postgenae cream; genae with small dark brown spots. Compound eyes dark brown; ocelli hyaline, ocellar triangle ochre; anteclypeus pale brown, labrum pale brown, labral sclerites brown. Antennae: scape cream, pedicel and flagella pale brown. Maxillary palps pale brown. Thorax pale brown, pronotum cream, tergal lobes of meso- and metathorax brown, meso- and metapleura brown. Legs: fore- coxae cream; mid- and hind- coxae with light brown outer side, inner side cream; trochanters, femora and tibiae cream, tarsi light brown. Forewings ( Fig. 46 View FIGURES 46‒51 ) hyaline; pterostigma with proximal and distal pale brown bands, veins brown. Hindwings ( Fig. 47 View FIGURES 46‒51 ), hyaline, veins brown. Abdomen pale brown. Clunium brown. Hypandrium pale brown. Phallosome brown, with aedeagal arch dark brown, external parameres pale brown. Epiproct and paraprocts pale brown.
Morphology. Head: H/MxW: 1.42; compound eyes large, H/d: 3.44; IO/MxW: 0.64. Outer cusp of lacinial tips broad, with eight denticles. Mx4/Mx2: 1.07. Lower border of labrum with a pair of rounded projections. Forewings ( Fig. 46 View FIGURES 46‒51 ): FW/W: 2.75; Pterostigma elongate: lp/wp: 5.56; Rs of 3-4 branches; M of 4-6 branches, some forked; Rs stem concave; areola postica low, elongate: al/ah: 3.53. Hindwings ( Fig. 47 View FIGURES 46‒51 ): HW/w: 3.06, Rs 2- branched; M 3-4 branched; Rs and M joined by a crossvein. Legs: trochanters with two long setae; fore- tarsi without ctenidiobothria, mid- and hind- tarsi with ctenidiobothria. Hypandrium ( Fig. 50 View FIGURES 46‒51 ) broad, sides parallel, setae as illustrated, median posterior process large, posterior border rounded Phallosome ( Fig. 51 View FIGURES 46‒51 ) anteriorly obtusely concave in the middle, side struts slender, straight, widening anteriorly; aedeagal arch with large posterior processes distally rounded. Endophallic sclerites ( Fig. 51 View FIGURES 46‒51 ). Paraprocts ( Fig. 49 View FIGURES 46‒51 ), oval, elongate, with setae and macrosetae along posterior bor- der; sensory fields with 30-31 trichobothria in basal rosettes. Epiproct ( Fig. 49 View FIGURES 46‒51 ) broad, almost straight anteriorly, rounded posteriorly, with one macroseta mesally, other setae as illustrated.
