Material examined: Holotype: shell 3.1 mm high and 2.2 mm broad ( ZMH 140797 View Materials ) . Paratypes: 2 specimens from type locality (in isopropanol, ZMH 140798 View Materials ) , 2 specimens in coll. Glöer, 1 specimen in coll. Porfyris.

Type locality: Mitáta , Kythira Island, Greece (36.2450°N, 22.9963°E, spring very close to Mitáta village) GoogleMaps .

Etymology: Named after the type locality.

Description: The corneous conical shell has 5-5.5 convex, slightly stepped whorls, separated by a deep suture. The body whorl is prominent and takes 0.75-0.77 of shell height. The aperture is ovate with a sharp peristome. The umbilicus is slit-like to closed. The shell is 2.6-3.1 mm high and 2.1-2.2 mm broad. Juveniles are more globular.

Differentiating characters: The new species differs from the lectotype of Pseudamnicola exilis , in shell height and relative height of the spire. This relation of height of body whorl to shell height is in P. magdalenae 0.83-0.86 vs. 0.75-0.81 in P. mitataensis n. sp.

Distribution: Greece; only known from the type locality.
