Material examined: Ilam, Shirvan-Chardavol and Dehloran, ex Isocolus tinctorius on safflower, Carthamus oxycantha , 2Ψ.
Ormyrus gratiosus is a parasitoid of the newly described safflower gall wasp, Isocolus tinctorius Melika and Gharali, 2005 (Cynipidae) collected from the west of Iran ( Gharali 2004). It is widely distributed in more northerly parts of the Palaearctic, but its presence and host association in Iran are new records. It has been reared from a variety of Cynipidae View in CoL associated with Asteraceae View in CoL ( Aylax View in CoL , Aulacidea View in CoL and Isocolus View in CoL ) and also fruit flies ( Terellia View in CoL Robineau- Desvoidy and Urophora Robineau-Desvoidy View in CoL ) ( Zerova and Seryogina 2006).
