GENUS KOCHINEMA HEYNS, 1963 View in CoL ( Fig. 6 View Fig 4, A-F)
Diagnosis: Small- to medium-sized nematodes. Lip region expanded but not discoid. Amphids labial in position, with stirrup-shaped fovea and slitlike aperture. Odontostyle long, slender, with short aperture. Guiding ring ' double' Odontophore rod-like, well developed. Expanded part of oesophagus about one-half oesophageal length, anterior slender part muscular. Vulva transverse. Female reproductive system amphidelphic. Spicules typical dorylaimoid; lateral guiding pieces present and ventromedian supplements few, spaced. Tail short-conoid; similar in sexes.
Type species: Kochinema proamphidum l-leyns, 1963.
