Musca autumnalis De Geer, 1776 was also recorded by Bezzi (1908: 190, Rooibank in the hinterland of: DO¿VFKED\, DV M. corvina Fabricius, 1781 ), but was later stated by Bezzi (1911: 90) probably to be M. lusoria .

The following species are new for Namibia: M. crassirostris , M. hugonis , M. patersoni , M. ventrosa and M. fragilis sp. n. No specimens of M. alpesa, M. FRQ ¿ VFDWD, M. domestica domestica or M. freedmani were included in the material examined.
