Gelanes gubarevae Khalaim, 2002: 10 . Type: ♀, Ukraine, TD: ZISP.
Diagnosis. Face and frons very finely granulate, impuctate, dull. Temple smooth. Flagellum of female with 17–18 flagellomeres. Mesopleuron mostly smooth. Foveate groove of mesopleuron weak. Basal area of propodeum broad, slightly elongate. Thyridial depression small, about as long as broad. Ovipositor slender, with dorsal subapical depression situated far from ovipositor apex, distance from depression to apex of ovipositor subequal to 4.0 times average height of ovipositor (Fig. 20), sheath 2.4–3.0 times as long as first tergite.
Material examined. South Korea: 1♀, [JN] Gurye-gun, Gurye-eup, Nogodan 106, Mt. Jiri National Park, Malaise trap, 35º17’47.11"N 127º31’36.45"E, 2.VI–10.X.2011, K.B. Kim.
Distribution. South Korea (new record), Europe.
Biology. Flight period in May to June. Reared from Xyela graeca Stein and probably X. curva Benson (Xyelidae) on Pinus nigra Aiton (Pinaceae) in Europe (Khalaim & Blank 2011).
