Current name: Physostegia virginiana (L.) Benth. View in CoL ( Lamiaceae ).

Note: Although Epling (in J. Bot. 67: 9. 1929) indicated Herb. Linn. No. 746.1 ( LINN) as the standard specimen, this is not equivalent to a type statement (see Jarvis & al. in Taxon 50: 508. 2001).
