Presumed extinct

This species is known from two females collected by Perkins in Olaʻa and Hilo, Hawaiʻi island in 1895 and 1896, respectively ( Walsingham 1907). In the absence of known males, it is difficult to ascertain for certain whether it belongs to Spheterista or another genus. If Spheterista , it likely fed on leaves or fruit of Cheirodendron or Polyscias (Araliaceae) .
