Presumed extinct

This species is known only from the female holotype, reared from leaves of Lysimachia rotundifolia [= L. hillebrandii ] ( Primulaceae ) by Swezey at Puʻu Hāpapa on Oʻahu in 1927. Collecting by KAA at the type locality did not result in any specimens, despite the host plant’s presence in the immediate vicinity, and many island-wide surveys.
