Sedum monregalense Balbis (1803 View in CoL –1804: 339)

Lectotype (designated here):―[ ICON] Tav. 6 (Balbis, 1804) (see fig. 1).

Epitype (designated here):― ITALY. Mondovì: lungo il Rio Borello presso Rastello (alpi marittime), luglio 1897, Ferrari (TO) (see fig. 2).

= Sedum cruciatum Desf. (1804[Oct. 1804]: 162)

S. cruciatum is here treated as heterotypic synonyn of S. monregalense , because of the protologue: “à feuill. en croix [with leaves in whorls of four]“; the only other European Sedum displaying this character is S. cepaea L., but it is already quoted previously in the same checklist.
