MATÉRIEL EXAMINÉ. — Gba riv., Gbakoré, 1 ♁, 1-VI-1991.
DESCRIPTION. — Espèce de grande taille (L. = 70 mm); ailes munies d’un important ptérostigma.
ÉCOLOGIE. — Ce Phaon fréquente les petits cours d’eau forestiers. On le rencontre dans les zones de clairières où croît une importante végétation aquatique herbacée dans laquelle la femelle dépose ses oeufs ( Legrand 1985c).
DISTRIBUTION. — Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroun, Gabon, Guinée, Liberia, Somalie (?).
