Cnidoscolus macrandrus Lundell, Bull. Torrey Bot. View in CoL Club 72: 324 (1945). Type:— MEXICO. Veracruz: Between Jesus Carranza and Suchilapan , 24 January 1943, C.L. Gilly, Sr. 4713 (holotype LL-00256912!; isotype LL-00371620!).

Distribution:— Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua.

Notes:— Breckon (1975) explained that two collections of Bourgeau have the number 2231; the one which is not the type was collected on 24 March 1866 or 1867 in Valle de Cordova (K-000254110!). The holotype in B, collected on 10 June 1866 (Field Museum Berlin Negative #5395!) was probably destroyed ; here we designated the duplicate P-00545635 as lectotype.

Distribution:— Mexico.

Notes:— This combination and the following were initially proposed by Breckon (1975) in his doctoral thesis, and Fernández Casas (2008c) validly published them.
