Type:— PARAGUAY. Caaguazú: Trockenen Standorte bei Caaguazú, February 1905, É. Hassler 8982a (lectotype G-00307050!, designated here; isolectotype BM-000504584!).
Distribution:— Paraguay (regional endemic). Notes:— Pax wrote the name of this species directly on the collection label of the lectotype at G.
