Genus Albaxona Szalay, 1944

The genus Albaxona is known from the Palaearctic, Afrotropical, Oriental and Nearctic regions. Two subgenera have been described, based on the fusion or separation of the genital field with the fourth coxae. However, according to Peši & Gerecke (2003), this fusion is not suitable for discrimination of the subgenera. Consequently, the genus is now without subgeneric classification. From the Afrotropical region only one species is known from Liberia ( Cook 1966).
