Ctenorangoon feae — Demange, 1961: 264 (M); Jeekel, 2006: 44 (L); Pimvichai et al., 2010: 52 (D, M). Ctenorangoon meggittii Verhoeff, 1940: 191 (D), synonymized by Demange (1961: 264). Ctenorangoon magittii (sic!)— Attems, 1942: 80 (L, K).

Records from Myanmar: near Rangoon ( Pocock 1893; Verhoeff 1940); Tikekyee; Palon in Pegu ( Pocock 1893). Both C. feae and C. meggittii are based on syntypes, one male and one female in each series, kept in the London and Munich museums, respectively ( Pocock 1893; Verhoeff, 1940). Demange (1960) redescribed and designated the male of C. feae as “ Type ”, which is equivalent to the lectotype in modern usage.

Remarks. Pimvichai et al. (2010) used this species for their cladistic analysis. Based on 32 morphological characters, that study showed Ctenorangoon to be distinct among the fourteen accepted genera of the subfamily Rhynchoproctinae .
