Records from Myanmar: Reef Island near Tavoy ; Palon in Pegu ( Pocock 1893). The type series consists of an indefinite number of syntypes, likely shared between the collections of the London and Genoa museums.

Remarks. Also found in the Republic of Cabo Verde (Enghoff 1993), Brazil ( Schubart 1946, 1947), India ( Attems 1936), Nepal ( Golovatch et al. 2012a), Thailand ( Mauriès 1983; Enghoff 2005), Malaysia ( Attems 1936; Wang and Tang 1965), Singapore ( Attems 1909), Indonesia ( Silvestri 1895; Carl 1912; Attems 1927) and Papua New Guinea ( Attems 1914).

Trachyjulus calvus is a synanthropic species found across much of the tropical zone.
