Lectotype (Robson in Bull. Brit. Mus. (Nat. Hist.), Bot. 12: 228. 1985): Herb. Linn. No. 943.7 ( LINN) .

Current name: Hypericum calycinum L. ( Clusiaceae ).

Note: Fernald & Schubert (in Rhodora 50: 167. 1948) stated that H. calycinum is native to the Old, rather than the New, World and that "the type specimen is matched by a large amount of herbarium-material". However, they gave no indication of what they believed the type to be.
