Type Locality: Sudan, Sennaar.
Vernacular Names: Grivet.

Cuvier 1821) ; Chlorocebus toldti (Wettstein 1916) ; Chlorocebus weidholzi (Lorenz 1922) ; Chlorocebus zavattarii (de Beaux 1943) .
Distribution: Sudan east of the White Nile, Eritrea, Ethiopia east to the Rift Valley.
Conservation: CITES – Appendix II; IUCN – Lower Risk (lc) as Cercopithecus aethiops .
Discussion: Does not include pygerythrus , sabaeus , djamdjamensis or tantalus ( Kingdon, 1997; Groves, 2001 c) or cynosuros ( Groves, 2001 c). According to Napier (1981), zavattarii is based on a hybrid with pygerythrus .
