Type species. Bryoconversor tutus Lörz, Myers & Gordon, 2014 View in CoL .
Diagnosis. Modified from Lörz et al. (2014). Head lateral cephalic lobes weakly produced, subtriangular, apically subacute; anteroventral margin moderately recessed, moderately excavate. Eye present or absent. Labrum lacking epistome. Antenna 1 and 2 subequal in length. Gnathopod 2 larger than gnathopod 1, subchelate. Pereopods 5–7 coxae shallow. Epimera rounded. Urosomites 1 and 2 coalesced. Uropods 1–2 biramous, inner ramus longer than peduncle, weakly curved, with or without longitudinal ridges, lacking setae. Uropod 2 peduncle posterior margin with strongly developed flange with a pitted edge. Sexual dimorphism absent.

Distribution. New Zealand.
