Genus Lycophantis Meyrick, 1914: 122 View in CoL .
Lycophantis Meyrick, 1914: 122 View in CoL . Type species: Lycophantis chalcoleuca Meyrick, 1914 View in CoL , by monotypy.
Diagnosis. Adults of Lycophantis are characterized by the forewing often bicolored with golden luster, R4 and R5 long-stalked ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 ), the sacculus usually with a row or a cluster of spines in the male genitalia ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 ). Lycophantis is similar to Zelleria in the genital structures, but differs from the latter in the male genitalia by the ventral plate of the gnathos fused with the tuba analis, and in the female genitalia by the ductus bursae usually without granules or denticles. In Zelleria, the ventral plate of the gnathos is free, and the ductus bursae bears granules or denticles.
