HIDALGO: Lago de Tecocomulco: Cyprinus carpio ( Alemán-García 2009) ; Laguna de Metztitlán: Chirostoma jordani , Poeciliopsis gracilis ( Monks et al. 2005a, b). TABASCO: Pantanos de Centla: Poecilia petenensis ( López-Jiménez 2001) .

Birds (A): Intestine.

CAMPECHE: Río Ulumal: Nyctanassa violacea (present study). VERACRUZ: Humedal Los Chivos: Ardea herodias , Nyctanassa violacea ( Ortega-Olivares et al. 2008), Egretta tricolor , Nycticorax nycticorax (present study); Laguna La Cortadura, Laguna La Rivera, Río Tecolutla: Nyctanassa violacea (present study); Río Máquinas: Nyctanassa violacea ( Ortega-Olivares et al. 2008) .

Specimens deposited: CNHE (6871–3, 6877–9).

Notes: In accordance with Ortega-Olivares et al. (2008) it is possible that tapeworms from Veracruz represent a new species.
