Discussion: Reviewed by Poglayen-Neuwall (1965). Several workers have suggested that the several named forms of Bassaricyon are conspecific ( Decker and Wozencraft, 1991; Ewer, 1973; Hall and Kelson, 1959; Stains, 1967; Wozencraft, 1989), but supporting systematic work is lacking.
