Holotype: — RWANDA. Bugoier Wald (= Gishwati), SE Kissenje (= Rubavu), Bambusmischwald, ca. 2400 m, 3 November 1907, J.Mildbraed 1460 (B 20 0012299!).

Habitat: —Terrestrial in montane forest, elev. 1900–2300 m.
Distribution in Rwanda:—Western Province: Gishwati-Mukura NP, Nyungwe NP, Uwinka, Cyamudongo Forest.
General distribution: —Africa: Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda.
