Macrostylopyga laosana (Anisyutkin, 2010) View in CoL

( Figs. 25, 26 View FIGURES 12 – 26 , 35–38 View FIGURES 27 – 38 , 56 View FIGURES 50 – 56 )

Material. Holotype male, Laos: Vientiane (Wieng Jan) Prov., National Park Phu Khao Khouay, Ban Vangheua, elevation = 800 m, 18°20.102'N, 102°48.983'E, pitfall & carrion trap, mixed bamboo forest, 27 February–28 March 2008, coll. S. Tarasov.

Originally M. laosana was assigned to the genus Neostylopyga , with the comment that this species and N. rhombifolia (Stoll) , the type species of the genus Neostylopyga , probably belonged to different genera (Anisyutkin 2010). The original description (Anisyutkin 2010) can be supplemented with the following details.

Description. Male (holotype). Tibiae not thickened distally, apical spines not reinforced. Metatarsus of hind tarsi ( Figs. 25, 26 View FIGURES 12 – 26 ) slightly longer than other segments combined, with 2 rows of spines along lower margin (exterior row with 16–19 spines, interior row with 11–12 spines); second segment with 4 spines in exterior row and single spine corresponding to interior row on left tarsus; all segments with small apical euplantulae bordered with 2 additional spines ( Fig. 25 View FIGURES 12 – 26 , a.s.); claws symmetrical, simple; arolium vestigial. Left hind tarsus abnormal, with 4 segments. Fore and middle tarsi similar to hind tarsi, but comparatively shorter; fore and middle metatarsi with 14/ 8 and 12/7–8 spines in exterior/interior rows respectively, second segment of left middle tarsus with single spine along lower margin; other segments without armament along lower margin.
