Type Locality: Indonesia, Prov. of Papua (= Irian Jaya), Tjenderawasih Div., Japen (=Yapen) Isl.
Vernacular Names: Clara's Echymipera.
Distribution: NC New Guinea, 300-1700 m; Yapen Isl ( Indonesia).
Conservation: IUCN – Data Deficient. Rare.
