Diagnosis. Length: 3.25 mm; width: 3.00 mm. Form ( Fig. 18c View FIGURE 18 ) broadly oval, moderately convex. Dorsum reddish brown except head darker, with a black discal spot on each elytron closer to suture than lateral margin. Male genitalia not studied.
Material examined. Holotype, on minuten pin on rectangular card, “Type (red bordered circular label)/ Rodolia netara , n. sp., TYPE, A.P. Kapur 1947/IMP. INST.ENT.COLL. No. 10688/S. INDIA Munnar 1947, Plant Protection Adviser, Feeds on Icerya purchasi /Holotype (red bordered circular label)/Pres. By Impt. Inst. Ent. B.M. 1947-405” ( BMNH).
Distribution. India (Tamil Nadu).
Note. The holotype ( BMNH) appears to be a female and this is the only species with a pair of black discal spots on elytra. I have not seen a matching specimen in any Indian collections .
