Type: Female holotype ( MUSM-ENT 0514018 , formely RKCP 0777 ) from Peru, Huancayo, Huayucachi, Sapallanga, 3,305 m a .s .l., 2011, M . Černička col .

Etymology: The specific name refers to the type locality. Sapallanga is a name composed of two Quechua words: ‘sapa’ which means ‘unique’ and ‘llank’aq’ meaning ‘a worker’.

Diagnosis: Females of Antikuna sapallanga sp. nov. can be distinguished from all other congeners by light brown legs with dark brown femora, in combination with strongly divergent seminal receptacles and dark brown subtriangular spot above epigastric furrow ( Figure 47 View Figure 47 (e)).

Distribution ( Figure 49 View Figure 49 ): Known only from the type locality.

FEMALE (MUSM-ENT 0514018, formely RKCP 0777) ( Figures 46–48 View Figure 46 View Figure 47 View Figure 48 ): Total length: 31.9, carapace length 12.44, width 11.56, caput elevated, chelicerae with 13 – 15 teeth on promargin. Cheliceral teeth pattern from basal end: right side: vV–VVVVVVVVVVv, 11 big and 2 small teeth. Left side: vv-V-V-VVVVvVVVVVV, 12 big and 3 small teeth. Anterior eye row procurved, posterior eye row recurved. Eye sizes and interdistances ( Figure 47 View Figure 47 (c)): AME 0.35 (oval), ALE 0.51 (oval), PME 0.39 (oval), PLE 0.45 (oval), AME-AME 0.34, AME-ALE 0.19, PME-PME 0.83, PME-PLE 0.18, ALE-PLE 0.43, AME-PME 0.18, OQ length 1.17, width 1.92. Ocular tubercle: length 1.83, width 1.92, clypeus narrow, length 0.104. Fovea transverse, straight, width 2.13, 9.07 from anterior edge of carapace. Labium length 1.96, width 2.34, anterior third with 11 cuspules, maxillae with 155 – 164 cuspules in basal half and short spiniform setae in apical half. Ventral surface of maxilla roof-like. Sternum length 6.18, width 5.53, with three visible pairs of sternal sigilla located near coxae III (length 0.35, 0.72 from edge of sternum), coxae II (length 0.23, 0.27 from edge of sternum) and coxae I (length 0.13, 0.19 from edge of sternum). Sigilla in labiosternal suture joined. Leg pattern: I>IV>II>III, legs I and IV almost equal. All leg segments uniform.

Scopulae: All tarsi 100% densely scopulate, metatarsi I 90%, metatarsi II 70%, metatarsi III 50%, metatarsi IV 20% scopulate. Tarsal scopulae I undivided, tarsal scopulae II, III divided by a longitudinal band of setae, in tarsi IV divided by a wide band of setae. Dorsal face of all tarsi and cymbium with two irregular longitudinal rows of very short claviform trichobothria. Denticulation pattern of paired tarsal claws on left legs (prolateral/retrolateral row): I 2/3, II 2/2, III 1/1, IV 2/2. Plumose setae on retrolateral face of femur IV absent.

Spination: femora I p 0-0-1, II p 0-1-2, III d 0-0-1, IV d 0-0-1 and femora of palps p 0-0-1, patellae I v 0-0-2, II v 0-0-1, III, IV 0 and patellae of palps 0, tibiae I v 0-1-2 (apical), II v 2-1-3 (apical), III v 1-1-2 (apical), IV v 2-3-2 (apical) and tibiae of palps v 1-2-3 (apical), metatarsi I v 0-0-1 (apical), II v 0-1-4 (apical), III v 1-2-7 (apical), p 0-1-1, r 0-0-1, IV v 2-5-1-3 (apical), tarsi I – IV and tarsi of palps 0.

Spermathecae ( Figure 48 View Figure 48 ): two separated seminal receptacles, tapering to the apex, with longitudinal keels on ventral side and oval apical lobe from dorsal side.

Abdomen: urticating setae of type III are located in oval central patch. PLS: length 5.43, basal segment 2.21, middle segment 1.46, apical segment 1.77, all digitiform. PMS: 1.43.

Colouration and covering setae: dorsal view ( Figure 46 View Figure 46 ): carapace dark brown with golden pubescence, thicker on caput and in both lateral edges than in the rest of carapace, chelicerae, coxae and trochantera with pale pubescence, femora black with weak blue iridescence, patellae, tibiae, metatarsi and tarsi light brown, intermixed with long, pale setae. Patellae I, II with two almost equal parallel longitudinal stripes without covering setae, patellae III, IV with two unequal diagonal stripes. Palpal femora, femora I – IV, palpal tibia, tibia I – IV with two longitudinal parallel stripes without covering setae. Metatarsi with one central stripe without covering in basal one fifth. Palpal femur prolaterally partly bare. Abdomen ( Figure 47 View Figure 47 (f – g)) covered with short black setae, intermixed with long, light brown setae. Length of central patch: 4.2, width 5.4. Ventral view: labium and maxillae dark reddish-brown, sternum, coxae, trochantera, femora, patellae, tibiae and metatarsi light brown, tarsi dark grey. Abdomen including spinnerets dark grey. Area above epigastric furrow including posterior booklungs light brown.

MALE: unknown.
