Holotype. male, CHINA, Tibet, Motuo County, Gongricun, alt. 1413 m, light trap, 13.VIII.2014, coll. Wu Chao ( ECNU). Paratypes: 2 females, same data as for holotype ( ECNU); female, same county, Baricun, alt. 1780m, light trap, 8.VIII.2014, coll. Bi Wenxuan (SEM).

Description. Male. Coloration of body light greyish brown with following marks: head light brown with greyish brown areas behind eyes, with brown antennae having whitish spots on flagellum; pronotum with light brown disc and greyish brown lateral lobes; tegmina with light brown to yellow veins, dark grey areas between veins in basal part of dorsal field, light grey areas between majority of other veins in this field, rather small darkened marks in apical area of this field, and rather dark membranes in cells of lateral field; legs more or less uniformly greyish brown but with light brown inner side of hind femur and dark brown dorsal part of this femur (this part also having small almost whitish spot in middle part); abdomen with black tergites and anal plate, and brown sternites and cerci. Head dorsum and pronotal disc slightly wrinkled; scape approximately 2 times as wide as minimum space between antennal cavities; pronotum almost as wide as long, with lateral lobes about 1.5 times as long as high, and with posterior part of disc almost 2 times as wide as its anterior part; metanotal gland as in Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 , A. Legs covered with hairs, especially near tarsus; lobe of fore tibia covering inner tympanal membrane slightly inflate; hind tibia with 5 pairs of articulated dorsal spines; hind basitarsus with 3 pairs of dorsal denticles. Tegminal dorsal field with 6 oblique veins, irregular cellular venation in apical area, and stridulatory apparatus as in Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 , A and Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 , A; tegminal lateral field with 13 branches of Sc. Anal plate as in Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 , B and Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 , E; male genitalia as in Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 , C – E and Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 , B – D.

Female. General appearance somewhat similar to that of male, but with distinct differences: tegmina with 11 – 12 branches of Sc, different in other venation (see generic diagnosis), and with less spotted colouration of dorsal field ( Figs 1 View FIGURE 1 , C; 2, B); anal plate simple in shape, triangular and with shallow dorsal concavity in middle; genital plate elongate, with almost parallel sides and deep notch at apex; ovipositor almost equal to hind femur in length.

Length in mm. Body with wings: male 35, female 30 – 32; pronotum: male 4, female 5; tegmen: male 27, female 23 – 26; hind wing: male 30, female 25 – 27; hind femur: male 12, female 12 – 13; ovipositor 13.
