Type material: holotype ♀: SRI LANKA: Nuwara Eliya District , Talawakele, St. Coombs Tea Factory, 12.IX.1957, E.F.W. Fernando leg.

Remarks. The holotype (only know specimen) has been deposited by Fernando in the collections of the Tea Research Institute of Sri Lanka. According to Karl V. Krombein (pers. comm.), who visited the above research institute, the type of this species is lost. The original description is incomplete and partly unreliable. Probably this species belongs to group 1 of Dryinus , but it is impossible to include it in the key of the Oriental species only on the basis of the original description.
