(Plate 41E)

Anteon raptor Olmi 1998e: 51.

Description of Female. Fully winged; length 3.4 mm. Head black, except mandible testaceous; antenna brown, except segments 1 and 4–5 testaceous; mesosoma black; metasoma brown; legs testaceous, except meso- and metatibia and club of metafemur darkened. Antenna clavate and geniculate; antennal segments in following proportions: 18:7:10:7:7:8:8:7:6:8. Head shiny, completely rugose; frontal line complete and continuing also on clypeus, dividing clypeus into two halfs; face with two lateral longitudinal keels near orbits directed towards antennal toruli; vertex with two oblique keels connecting posterior ocelli to occipital carina; occipital carina complete; POL = 6; OL = 4; OOL = 8; OPL = 8; TL = 6. Pronotum shiny, with anterior surface strongly sculptured by transverse keels; posterior surface smooth, finely punctate, unsculptured among punctures, shorter than scutum (9:21); pronotal tubercle reaching tegula. Scutum shiny, smooth, finely punctate, unsculptured among punctures. Notauli incomplete, reaching approximately 0.2 length of scutum. Scutellum swollen, shiny, smooth, unsculptured. Metanotum rugose. Propodeum with strong transverse keel between dorsal and posterior surface; dorsal surface reticulate rugose; posterior surface without longitudinal keels, granulated and strongly sculptured by numerous transverse keels. Fore wing with two dark transverse bands; distal part of stigmal vein much shorter than proximal part (4:10). Protarsal segments in following proportions: 8:2:3:8:20. Segment 4 of protarsus produced into hook. Enlarged claw (Plate 41E) extraordinarily long, much longer than segment 5 of protarsus, with proximal prominence bearing one long bristle. Segment 5 of protarsus (Plate 41E) without proximal and median lamellae, or hairs, or bristles; distal apex with six lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.

Male. Unknown.

Material examined. Type: holotype ♀: THAILAND: Chiang Mai, Maerim, 5.IX.1995, Malaise trap, R.A. Beaver leg. ( NHMLA).

Hosts. Unknown.

Distribution. Thailand (Chiang Mai).

Remarks. The enlarged claw of A. raptor is extraordinary among dryinids, because usually, when the chela is closed, the distal apex of the enlarged claw is inserted in the group of lamellae situated at distal apex of segment 5 of protarsus; for this reason, usually the enlarged claw is about as long as segment 5 of protarsus; however, in A. raptor, when the chela is closed, the enlarged claw is so long, that its distal apex reaches segment 2 of protarsus; no dryinids in the world show a similar chela.
