Hosts. Unknown.

Distribution. China (Zhejiang, Guizhou, Henan, Taiwan, Ningxia, Shanxi).

Remarks. Aphelopus nigricornis Xu, He & Olmi, 1999 (December) , described on the basis of one female specimen, should be the opposite sex of Aphelopus niger Xu & He, 1999 (March) , described on the basis of 1♂ specimen. The morphology of both sexes is in fact similar. For this reason they are considered synonyms and A. niger gains priority over A. nigricornis .
