Remarks. Two specimens of P. nigromaculatus are deposited at ROM. Pelophylax nigromaculatus is distributed from southwestern China north to eastern Russia, and Korea and Japan (Wang et al. 2016). There are no records of P. nigromaculatus being imported into Singapore for food; however, the possibility exists that the specimens were brought in as food or as pets.
