Remarks. The MCZ has six specimens of L. triploida that were used by Hall (1970) to examine parthenogenesis in Leiolepis . Hall (1970) wrote that the specimens he “examined were imported from animal dealers in Bangkok ( Thailand) and Singapore by Richard R. Ross [and that] [t]he Singapore dealer told Ross that his Leiolepis came from near the Malaysia-Thailand border”. The specimens were also used by Peters (1971) to describe L. triploida as a new species. As the specimens are catalogued under Singapore at MCZ, we include L. triploida here for clarification. Leiolepis triploida is only known from northeastern Peninsular Malaysia ( Grismer 2011b).
