Original name: Cosmochthonius (Pterochthonius) angelus Berlese, 1910 ( Grandjean 1947)

Geographic Location: BC: Isaiah Creek study site ( Lindo & Stevenson 2007); Interior ( Battigelli et al. 2004); AB: EMEND Site ( Lindo & Visser 2004); Moose Pasture Research Site ( Walter et al. 2014); QC: Morgan Arboretum ( Marshall 1968).

Habitats: mixed deciduous coniferous litter; coniferous forest litter; Trembling aspen litter.

Distribution: Holarctic; Oriental.

Genus Eniochthonius Grandjean, 1933 (= Hypochthoniella )

Remarks: Subías (2004) retains Hypochthoniella .
