Combination: Tritia lentula (C.L. Koch, 1841) ; (Berlese 1887).

Synonymy: Phthiracarus rotundus Berlese, 1923 : ( Subías 2004), Phthiracarus angolensis Mahunka, 1984 : ( Niedbała 2001).

Geographic Location: ON: Cedar Grove, North Gower, ( Niedbała 2002); QC: Parc Frontenac ( Niedbała 2002); Aylmer ( Niedbała 2007b); NS: Cape Breton Highlands NP, Aspy Trail; Pleasant Bay ( Niedbała 2002).

Habitats: mixed forest litter; moss; lichens from bark and branches of tamarack; decaying birch wood; decaying vegetation and moss by stream.

Distribution: Holarctic; Ethiopean.
