Note. Walker ([1865] 1864) described the species based on an uncertain number of males from “South Hindostan”. However, the single syntype found in the NHMUK collection well matching the original description is a female therefore it is possible to conclude that Walker wrongly determined the sex of the specimen(s). In order to stabilise the nomenclature, the aforementioned syntype is hereby designated as the lectotype.
Diagnosis. The forewing length is 13.0– 13.5 mm in males and 13.5–14.5 mm in females. Teulisna inducta is most similar to T. basigera and the detailed comparison is provided above in the diagnosis of the latter species.
Distribution. South India (Tamil Nadu and Kerala) ( Walker [1865] 1864; Kirti & Singh 2015).
