Description: Male, apterous, surface of charcoal colouration, mat with smooth and glabrous irregular patterns and spots.

Head: Slightly longer than width across eyes (29/27); genae thin, shorter than clypeus this reaching ¾ of antennal segment I, bearing a round tubercle dorsally near apex; antenniferous lobes wide and diverging anteriorly, apex blunt; antennae 1.24x as long as width of head (33.5/27), segment I club shaped and longest, II–IV are thinner and of equal length: I/II/III/IV = 11/7.5/ 7.5/7.5; eyes small, stalked, and protuberant; postocular part of head with ovate callosity anteriorly, then straightly converging posteriorly to narrow and recessed collar; vertex with v-shaped rugose ridges flanked by 2 (1+1) ovate callosities laterally.

Rostrum arising from slitlike atrium, rostral groove wide and closed posteriorly.

Pronotum: 3x as wide as long at middle (45/15); collar ringlike with lateral tubercles; lateral margins straight at humeri then sinuately converging anteriorly, inner angle acute and deeply notched; disk rather flat with a median sulcus and lateral ovate callosities, lateral portions carinately raised; posterior margin sinuate medially.

Mesonotum: Median longitudinal groove flanked by 2 (1+1) ovate callosities; lateral sclerites rugose, thickened and elevated toward lateral margin.

Metanotum: Median glabrous concave plate is fused to mesonotum and reaches to anterior margin of tergal plate; ovate lateral sclerites as in mesonotum with anterolateral angles triangularly elevated; mtg I+II fused forming 2 (1+1) transverse plates, their surface rugose on inner angles, smooth elsewhere.

Abdomen: Median elevated ridge of tergal plate narrow on mtg III, widening and of increasing hight on mtg IV and V, then sloping toward straight posterior margin of mtgVI; deltg I–III fused, triangular, anteriorly reaching mesonotum; lateral margins of deltg I–VII with increasing triangular lateral projections bearing tubercles; surface of deltg III–VI depressed on inner half around apodemal impressions, raised and smooth on outer half; tergite VII trapezoidal, raised medially for reception of pygophore; spiracles II–VII lateral and visible from above, VIII dorsal on paratergites VIII.

Legs: Slender, unarmed, trochanters fused to femora but separated by a distinct fusion sulcus.

Genitalic structures: Pygophore large subglobose with a median ridge on anterior half, surface rugose; parameres slender, inner apical fovea beset with long setae ( Figs. 1–5 View FIGURES 1– 5 ).

Female: Generally as the male but of larger size; pe-angles of deltg II–VI distinctly triangularly elevated as those lateral of median ridge of mtg III, tergite VII trapezoidal with rugose surface, deltg VII triangular and carinate; tergite VIII transverse with lateral projections, tergite IX truncate.

Measurements: Holotype: length 6.3mm, length/width of head 29/27, pronotum w/l 50/16; length of antennae 1.67 mm, width of abdomen across tergite IV 3.6 mm; paratype ♂: length 6.1mm; paratypes ♀ 7.1, 7.7, 7.8 and 8.2mm, width of abdomen 3.5, 4.2, 4.25, 4.4mm.

Etymology: Referring to the conspicuous glabrous metanotal plate, from> glaber <(Latin)= smooth, shiny.

Distribution: So far recorded from Central Malaysian Peninsula and Cameron Highlands of Perak and Pahang provinces.
