Rendahl’s Catfish
Within the Kimberley, Porochilus rendahli has previously been collected from the Fitzroy, King Edward, Carson, Pentecost and Ord Rivers ( Fig. 12). The species, however, appears to be relatively uncommon in these systems, with only low numbers recorded ( Allen & Allen 1998, Morgan et al. 2002, 2004a, 2006; Morgan in press). This species has occasionally been misidentified as the more common Neosilurus hyrtlii .
