Bony Bream
One of Australia’s most widespread freshwater fishes, N. erebi is also widespread throughout the Kimberley ( Allen et al. 2002). However, despite its wide distribution in the Fitzroy, May, Carson, Drysdale, Durack and Ord Rivers, there are few records for any other river system of the region ( Fig. 5). For example, there is one record for the Prince Regent and Pentecost Rivers and two for the upper Isdell River ( Fig. 5), while its was absent from 21 sites sampled in the King Edward system (Morgan, in press).
