Flathead Goby
Often one of the most abundant species found in shallow sandy areas of the major river systems in the Kimberley, the benthic Glossogobius giuris is widespread in the region ( Fig. 40). The species is found throughout the Fitzroy, King Edward, Carson, Drysdale and Ord Rivers, with records from other systems being less extensive, including those from the May, Isdell, Prince Regent, Lawley, Durack and Pentecost Rivers.
